Architectural Photographs by Arne Maasik

An exhibition of architectural photographs by Arne Maasik is open at the Haapsalu City Gallery. Trained as an architect, the photographer is known above all for conceptual architectural photography and for his technical and compositional precision. His black-and-white photographs contrast an orderly urban environment, historical architecture and overgrown wastelands. Maasik is a member of the Estonian Artists’ Association and has received the Cultural Endowment’s annual award and the Kristjan Raud Prize. The exhibition is open until early November; the city gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday 12–18 and admission is free.
