Narva River Promenade

The Narva River Promenade is one of the best routes for exploring the city without museum walls. The promenade runs along the Narva River near historical bastions and offers direct views of the Ivangorod Fortress on the opposite bank. Here, modern landscaping coexists with powerful stone fortifications: there are walking paths, viewpoints, relaxation areas, and access points to the historical center. The promenade looks especially expressive closer to Narva Castle, where the river, the two fortresses, and the state border line merge into a single landscape. It is a convenient connecting point between the castle, the bastions, and other sites in central Narva.
