The documentary drama “Hot Summer ’93” comes to the Vaba Lava theatre centre in Narva. Written and directed by Tiit Palu, the story examines the background of the 1993 Narva and Sillamäe autonomy referendum and the uncertain situation of the Estonian state at the time. Major political decisions unfold through the meeting of two people, in which memories, doubts and personal choices intertwine. On stage are Hendrik Toompere and Luisa Lõhmus. The production invites reflection on borders, belonging and how the past shapes the present. The performance lasts one hour and forty minutes.
