A history lecture of the “Põnev kolmapäev” (Exciting Wednesday) seniors’ club, centred on the industrialist Ludwig Knoop, takes place on 18 November at the Narva Museum Art Gallery. The lecture is given by Irina Solodova and covers a man tied to Narva’s past and his role in local history. The series is meant for history enthusiasts aged 65 and over, and its meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month. Participants can add to their knowledge of Narva’s industrial and cultural history and discuss local historical memories. The Russian-language lecture starts at 15.00 and, because places are limited, buying a ticket in advance is recommended.
