Endla Theatre

Endla Theatre stands on Keskväljak (Central Square) in central Pärnu and is one of Estonia's oldest professional theatres. Endla's history goes back to the early 20th century, and in 1918 the Estonian Declaration of Independence was read out from the balcony of the original theatre building. The current theatre building was completed in 1967 and is an important part of Pärnu's cultural life. The repertoire includes diverse productions, and the building also hosts other cultural events.
