Tori Hell

Tori Hell is a cave on the Devonian sandstone cliff of the Pärnu River, located in the village of Muraka in Tori Parish, Pärnu County. Spring water once carved a passage, around which many local legends formed. The cave entrance was previously about six meters wide, but a ceiling collapse in 1908 and an entrance collapse in 1974 changed the appearance of the site. Nowadays, it is not possible to enter the cave. Stairs descend from the cemetery gate to a viewpoint where one can see the riverbank and sandstone cliff and read about the history of the place. During slippery times, one should move carefully on the steps.
