Andrus Kivirähk “Aabitsa kukk” (The Primer Rooster) — 19.00

The second Pärnu performance of Andrus Kivirähk’s “Aabitsa kukk” takes place on 21 February 2027 at 19.00 in the Endla Theatre’s Küün. At its centre is Mauno, who has looked at the world through the texts of the school primer for most of his life. He remembers poems, riddles and stories by heart but sees no need for more complicated books, because for him the primer has already said everything important. Through the main character’s thoughts and memories a story that is both funny and sad unfolds about loneliness, habits and ideas. Lauri Liiv plays in the monologue production and the director is Andrus Vaarik. The evening performance is separate.
