“Fauré. Reekviem” (“Fauré. Requiem”) is a vocal-symphonic concert at Pärnu Concert Hall centred on Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem. The performers are soprano Maria Listra, baritone Tamar Nugis, the Latvian State Choir Latvija and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra under conductor Aivis Greters. The programme includes Arturs Maskats’s “Lacrimosa”, Francis Poulenc’s “Stabat mater”, Platons Butāns’s “Lux Aeterna” and Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem in D minor, Op. 48. The works of the concert explore themes of grief, suffering, hope and spirituality through different sound languages. Fauré’s Requiem includes, among other things, the soprano solo “Pie Jesu” and ends with the movement “In Paradisum”. The concert takes place on 27 March 2027 at 19.00 and lasts about one hour and 50 minutes including an interval.
