Christmas with the Mussakate

The Christmas-themed play performance “Mussakate jõulud” takes place on 5 December at the Koidula Museum and its garden in Pärnu. In the programme for children and families, participants meet the fairy-tale mussakate, with whom they can play and craft. The activities introduce Estonian Christmas customs of the 19th century, old objects and everyday life. The programme combines the museum setting, historical stories and hands-on activity, helping children discover the past in a playful way. The open family performance starts at 12.00, and the organiser recommends it above all for children aged 6–10. On other December dates there are separate group performances that must be booked in advance.
