The International Kannel Festival and the Small Kannel Festival bring kannel and folk music performers and enthusiasts to Pärnu for three days. The programme includes school concerts, instrument workshops, playing together, a dance evening and concerts in several halls around town. The opening concert "Kannel Bridges" takes place on 16 October at Villa Ammende, and on the following days music also fills St. Elizabeth's Church, Wunderbaar and the Pärnu Concert Hall. Musicians from Estonia, Latvia and Finland perform at the festival. Some activities are free, workshops require separate registration and some concerts require a festival pass.
