Estonian Open Air Museum

The Estonian Open Air Museum in Rocca al Mare transports traditional rural Estonia into a large seaside forest park on the outskirts of Tallinn. The territory features historical buildings from various regions of the country: farmyards, windmills, a school, a chapel, a village shop, a fire station, and fishing structures. Inside the houses, visitors can see how everyday life, economy, and living conditions of different social strata changed from the 18th to the 20th century. This museum is best experienced as a walking route rather than a single exhibition, with paths winding through forests and greenery between the sites, while the historical tavern offers traditional Estonian cuisine.
