Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum

Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum

The Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum is located in Tallinn's Old Town on Komandandi tee and introduces the city's medieval defence system. The museum complex includes the Kiek in de Kök artillery tower, the Maiden Tower, the Stable Tower, the Short Leg Gate Tower and the underground bastion passages. The exhibitions let you explore historical weapons, the development of the city fortifications and the stories of people who lived in the towers and along the town wall. The wall gallery offers views over the Old Town, while the bastion passages introduce underground defensive architecture. Because of the many floors, stairs and passages, allow plenty of time for a visit. The museum can be explored as a whole or in parts.
