Seaplane Harbour, Estonian Maritime Museum

Seaplane Harbour is one of Tallinn's most impressive museums, housed in historic seaplane hangars by the sea. The exhibition is built around real maritime and military equipment: you can board the 1930s submarine Lembit and see vessels, naval weapons and aviation exhibits, while interactive areas introduce underwater archaeology, rescue at sea, naval aviation, the navy and marine conservation. Since the permanent exhibition was renewed, the museum is even better suited to family visits and exploring on your own. The huge reinforced-concrete domes of the hangars are an attraction in themselves, and next to them lies the site of the former seaplane harbour.
