Tallinn City Life Museum

Tallinn City Life Museum

The Tallinn City Life Museum is located in a medieval merchant's house on Vene Street in the Old Town. The museum presents the everyday life of Tallinn's residents and how the townscape changed over the ages. The historic building itself is an important part of the visit: its rooms help visitors imagine how people lived and worked in the old trading town. The exhibitions link material heritage with the stories of townspeople, trade and social change. The museum offers a chance to discover Tallinn's history right at its heart, away from the larger squares. A visit can be combined with exploring the nearby Old Town streets and architectural monuments.
