Tartu Toy Museum

The Tartu Toy Museum is a family museum in the Old Town where the history of toys becomes a journey through different generations of childhood. The collections show toys, dolls and games from different eras, and the exhibitions are arranged so that adults recognise things from their own childhood while children can not only look but also play. A separate playroom makes the museum especially convenient for families with children, although it closes earlier than the main exhibition. Allow about one and a half to two hours to see the museum properly. The historic atmosphere of Lutsu Street and the short walk to the centre make it easy to combine the visit with a stroll through Tartu's Old Town.
