Kassisaba Street

Kassisaba is a small hidden walking trail in Old Viljandi that is easy to miss if you do not know about its existence. The historical path was restored on the initiative of local residents in 2016, returning its role as a connecting path between Trepimägi and Pikk street. The route runs among greenery and quiet old buildings, allowing you to see a more intimate side of the city away from the main squares. From the Pikk side, a large oak tree with a swing serves as a landmark, and from the Trepimägi side, the path starts near the historical Villa Nemwaltz. Kassisaba is well suited as a short continuation of a walk between the Old Town, the Trepimägi stairs, and Lake Viljandi.
