Kuressaare Theatre
Kuressaare Theatre is a professional theatre on Tallinna Street in central Kuressaare, whose repertoire gives an important place to Estonian drama and stories from Saaremaa. Theatre activity in the present building dates back to the early 20th century, and the renovated theatre house opened to the public in 1999. The theatre stages its own productions as well as guest performances, offering a chance to experience the island's cultural life in a historic town setting. The exterior can be viewed from the street; to attend a performance, choose a suitable date from the programme and buy a ticket. Box office opening hours do not mean the whole building is open for visits.
