Tragicomedy “Nimi” (The Name) — 5 January 2027

The second Kuressaare performance of Vanemuine’s tragicomedy “Nimi” (The Name) takes place on 5 January at the Kuressaare Theatre. The production belongs to the week-long guest programme “Kultuurilaine üle mere” of the Vanemuine National Theatre. At the heart of the play is a dinner during which the choice of a child’s name unexpectedly becomes a test of the relationships between friends and relatives. Witty dialogue and gradually revealed secrets force the characters to reconsider their views and beliefs. Tanel Jonas’ production features a cast of five. This is a separate performance from the one on 4 January.
