Conversations on Viivi Luik’s Work

On Wednesday 28 October 2026 from 12.00 to 13.30 the reading room of the Saare County Central Library hosts the literary meeting “Vestlused Viivi Luige loomingust” (Conversations on Viivi Luik’s Work). The meeting is part of a nationwide series of events dedicated to the 80th birthday of the writer Viivi Luik. As part of the series, 16 literary meetings on the writer’s work will take place in Estonian libraries, schools and museums. The Kuressaare meeting features literary scholar and cultural organiser Aija Sakova and linguist and translator Anna Verschik. The speakers open up different sides of Viivi Luik’s work and talk with readers about her literature. The meeting takes place in the library’s reading room and is free for all participants. The event is organised by the Saare County Central Library.
