A lecture in Russian, “Luud muuseumis: Libaloeng praktikumi elementidega”, takes place on 31 October 2026 at Narva Castle. Narva Museum curator-collections keeper Jaroslavna Nazarova talks about the study of human bones and questions related to preserving them. The session explains why archaeologists and anthropologists study human remains and what information about the past can be gathered with their help. It also covers the ethical questions of studying remains and keeping them in museum collections. In the practical part of the lecture, participants get to know objects from the Narva Museum collection and try to understand the life of the town’s earlier inhabitants through them. The theme of the event is connected with the traditions of late autumn, All Souls’ Day and Halloween. The session lasts from 15.00 to 16.00.
