EÕM60 – 60 years of the student construction brigade in Estonia and Pärnu County

“EÕM60” is a history exhibition open at Pärnu Museum marking the 60th anniversary of the Estonian Student Construction Brigade. It presents the “malev” culture that developed over six decades, young people’s first work experience and the life of the Pärnu County brigade groups. Visitors can see historical photographs, group clothing, brigade uniforms, diaries and songbooks. They can listen to malev songs, read the memories of former members and find out how summer work camps helped build independence, friendships and a shared sense of responsibility. The exhibition links the general history of the Estonian Student Construction Brigade with the stories of Pärnu County people.
