Inherited Songs for Children – Lauri Õunapuu and the Estonian National Male Choir

The children’s folk music concert “Päritud laulud lastele” takes place on 18 February at Pärnu Concert Hall. On stage meet folk musician and tradition researcher Lauri Õunapuu and the Estonian National Male Choir conducted by Mikk Üleoja. The programme, the length of a school lesson, features songs linked to the festivals of the Estonian folk calendar and tells how they came about and were used. Õunapuu researches and passes on older song traditions and is also known as a member of the band Metsatöll.
