On 18 December 2026 from 14.00 to 19.00 Pärnu Independence Square hosts the opening day of the 8th Pärnu Christmas Market. The three-day Christmas market runs from 18 to 20 December and combines the sale of Christmas goods, musical performances and activities for families. Traders offer handicrafts, Christmas products and local food. The performers in Friday’s cultural programme include Tanja Mihhailova-Saar and the Pärnu Handbell Studio. The market’s programme also features the Pärnu Music School Big Band, children of the Pärnu Art School and other performers whose acts take place over the weekend. Father Christmas Ärni is present, listening to children’s poems and handing out sweets. The market’s cultural programme is free for visitors, and the organiser reserves the right to make changes to the schedule.
