Eduard Vilde Museum

Eduard Vilde Museum

The Eduard Vilde Museum is located in Tallinn's Kadriorg district on Rohelise aasa Street, in the writer's last home. The interior museum in a neo-baroque house introduces Eduard Vilde's life, work and everyday surroundings. The preserved historical furnishings, including pieces made by the Luther furniture factory, help to picture the writer's home in the 1920s and 1930s. The display also covers Vilde's travels, his social views and his importance in Estonian literature. The Kastellaanimaja gallery on the building's first floor hosts changing art and literature exhibitions. The museum offers a chance to discover Estonian cultural history in the historic setting of Kadriorg.
