Harju County Museum

Harju County Museum

Harju County Museum is the county museum on Linnuse Street in Keila, housed in the former main building of Keila manor. The permanent exhibition “Life in Harju” gives an overview of Harju County’s history and the way of life of local people, and includes archaeological finds from both the medieval Keila castle and Padise monastery. The museum also presents Harju County’s folk costume heritage, and the house has a temporary exhibition hall, a library and a children’s playroom. The manor park setting connects a museum visit with Keila’s older history and local cultural heritage.
