Kalamaja Museum

Kalamaja Museum

Kalamaja Museum is a small community museum on Kotzebue Street in Tallinn, dedicated to life in one of the city's oldest suburbs. Created with the participation of local residents, its exhibition presents the neighbourhood through everyday stories, objects, photographs and memories. The museum helps visitors see more than the architecture behind Kalamaja's wooden houses: it also reveals the lives of several generations of residents. After exploring the collection, visitors can walk the surrounding streets and compare the museum's stories with the neighbourhood today.
