Kumu 20. Discover the Architecture of Kumu!

“Kumu 20. Avasta Kumu arhitektuuri!” is a special tour belonging to the museum’s 20th anniversary programme at the Kumu Art Museum in Tallinn. The tour takes place on 18 December 2026, starting at 17.30, and focuses on the story of how the museum building came about, its construction and the architect’s solutions. The architectural background of the Kadriorg and Lasnamäe districts is also introduced. During the programme participants get into spaces that are not usually open to ordinary visitors. They visit areas connected with exhibition preparation, the painting collection and conservation rooms, and use the building’s large lift. From the roof terrace they look at the different urban landscapes of Kadriorg and Lasnamäe. The number of participants is limited, and separate tickets are sold for the tour.
