The Story of Sven Grünberg

“The Story of Sven Grünberg” is a concert dedicated to the work of the Estonian composer at the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn. The performers are Vox Clamantis, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, the Estonian Electronic Music Society Ensemble, the ensemble Mess and Valter Soosalu. The conductor is Jaan-Eik Tulve. The programme stretches from Grünberg’s early work and the music of the ensemble Mess to electronic soundscapes, film and television music and newer works. Pieces from the collections “Hingus” are heard, as well as music from the film “Hukkunud alpinisti hotell” (The Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel) and the television production “Wikmani poisid”. The concert introduces different stages of the composer’s creative journey. The evening lasts about two and a half hours with an interval.
