Public Showing: Forget Diplomacy

On 22 October 2026 from 18.00 to 18.45 the small hall of Tartu New Theatre hosts a public presentation of the results of the research residency for the Estonian–Italian co-production “Forget Diplomacy”. The author and director of the production is the Italian performing artist Irene Russolillo, who works on the project with electronic music producer Edoardo Sansonne, also known as Kawabate. The residency takes place in Tartu from 6 to 22 October and focuses on Estonian folk culture, the song festival tradition and vocal culture. At the meeting Russolillo presents the results of the research so far, the concept of the future production and the Estonian artists chosen for the project. The programme also includes a performance part, and the whole public presentation is held in English. The co-production is planned to be performed in Rome in June 2027 and in Estonia in the 2027/2028 season. Admission is free, but prior registration is required.
