The jazz concert by the Hungarian ensemble Guitar Madness takes place at Vanemuine Concert Hall in Tartu. The musical memorial evening marks the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian uprising and remembers the people who stood for freedom. The line-up led by guitarist István Gyárfás performs music from the album “Hommage à Gábor Szabó”, dedicated to the jazz guitarist Gábor Szabó, who left Hungary for exile. The interplay of three guitars, double bass and drums links jazz history with a contemporary performance. The concert also remembers the Estonian freedom fighters Enn Uibo and Enn Tarto. It starts at 17.00.
