A tribute concert for Helgi Sallo’s 85th birthday takes place at Vanemuine Concert Hall in Tartu. Well-known music from the repertoire of the beloved Estonian singer and actress is performed by Hele Kõrve, Nele-Liis Vaiksoo, Hanna-Liina Võsa and Andres Dvinjaninov. The soloists are accompanied by an orchestra and an ensemble created specially for the concert, conducted by Riivo Jõgi. The evening recalls Sallo’s many-sided stage career and brings her songs to listeners in the interpretations of new performers. Helgi Sallo herself will not appear on stage. The concert is a musical thank-you to her work and her long-standing contribution to Estonian theatre.
