A Monster Calls

“Koletis kutsub” (“A Monster Calls”) is a fantasy story about love and fear based on Patrick Ness’s novel, performed by the Vanemuine National Theatre at its Small House in Tartu on 3 November. Young Conor is worried because his mother, with whom he lives alone, is ill. The director is Taavi Tõnisson, the music is by Markus Robam, and the cast includes Rasmus Vendel, Kristin Prits, Merle Jääger and Ken Rüütel. The play is a translation of the 2018 Old Vic production “A Monster Calls”. It is recommended from age 13; loud sounds and flashing light are used.
