The Beauty Queen of Leenane – 20 February 2027

The Vanemuine National Theatre drama “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” is performed on 20 February 2027 at the Tartu Harbour Theatre (Sadamateater). Martin McDonagh’s play tells of the tense relationship between a mother and daughter in rural Ireland, where care and mutual dependence have become a source of sharp conflict. Maureen’s chance to start a new life makes her mother Mag fear being left alone. Ain Mäeots’s production combines black humour with psychological drama. The cast is Liina Tennosaar, Ragne Pekarev, Oskar Seeman and Ain Mäeots. The performance in two acts lasts two hours and forty minutes. This is a separate February showing.
