Nimi

“Nimi” is a comedy by the Vanemuine National Theatre staged on 18 December 2026 at 19.00 in the Small House of Vanemuine in Tartu. The play begins with a shared dinner of relatives and friends, during which the successful businessman Vincent announces the planned name of his unborn son. This decision causes an argument in the company that quickly spreads to other personal and family matters. During the conversation previously hidden opinions, reproaches and relationships come to light. The production looks at how close people communicate and how much a person may comment on the private choices of others. The performance belongs to the Vanemuine repertoire, and it premiered on 8 November 2025. The organiser warns that smoking takes place in the production.
