The International Contemporary Music Festival AFEKT 2026 comes to Tartu, to the Tubin Hall of the Heino Eller Music School and other concert venues. The festival's 25th anniversary theme is "Timespace", exploring the relationship of sound to time, space and change. The programme brings together contemporary music from Poland, Estonia and Finland, premieres and various forms of sound art. Tartu concerts include "Bridges", "Sounding" and "Scenes and Verses". The festival presents both the work of international composers and new Estonian music.
