“Armastuse ülemlaul” (Song of Songs) — Pärt Uusberg author evening

Pärt Uusberg’s author concert “Armastuse ülemlaul” (Song of Songs) takes place on 12 November at the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn. Ahead of the composer’s jubilee, the Estonian National Male Choir, the chamber choir Head Ööd, Vend and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra come together. On the podium are Mikk Üleoja and Pärt Uusberg. The programme features the composer’s a cappella choral works and music with string orchestra accompaniment. Also heard are the new work “Uku Masingu maastikud” dedicated to Mikk Üleoja and the mixed-choir cycle “Heiti Talviku maastikud”. The musical and literary starting point of the concert relates to Estonian poetry, sacred texts and All Souls’ time. The concert lasts about 1 hour 45 minutes including an interval.
