Friday, 6 November 2026, 19.00–21.15. Duration about 2 h 15 min, including an interval.
A symphony concert by ERSO and Wayne Marshall takes place at the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn. In front of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra is British conductor and pianist Wayne Marshall, who is also the soloist in George Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F. The programme features 20th-century American music: Aaron Copland’s “El Salón México”, Duke Ellington and Maurice Peress’s “Harlem” and Leonard Bernstein’s ballet suite “Fancy Free”. The concert opens up points of contact between the classical symphony orchestra and the jazz-influenced sound. Marshall has long experience as conductor and soloist in this repertoire. The evening lasts about two and a quarter hours.
