The premiere of the puppet show “EI” takes place on 25 November 2026 at 10.00 at the Tartu Song Festival Museum. On the journey of two puppet characters, Theodor and Gustav, the magic word “EI” opens several different worlds where they meet animals and birds. The production uses music from Camille Saint-Saëns’ “The Carnival of the Animals” and deals with growing up, motherhood, wishes and expressing boundaries. Through the puppet characters it shows how refusal can mean different things and how to cope with situations where wishes are not fulfilled right away. The actors are Grete Kurik and Merili Viks, the director and musical designer is Maria Usk and the designer is Annika Aedma. The show is meant for children aged 2–8 and lasts 35 minutes.
