The Gin Game

“Džinnimäng” (“The Gin Game”) is a Pulitzer Prize-winning tragicomedy about ageing, loneliness and the need for tenderness, performed by Ugala Theatre in its small hall in Viljandi on 13 November. They say those unlucky at cards are lucky in love — on stage two elderly people meet, and their card game brings hidden traits to light. The director and music designer is Garmen Tabor, the translation is by Mati Soomre, and the cast is Luule Komissarov and Andres Tabun. The show lasts 1 hour 45 minutes including an interval.
