Köler 200: Biography and Reproductions at the Viljandi Museum

Johann Köler's jubilee exhibition at the Viljandi Museum introduces the artist's biography and painting oeuvre. On display are one hundred full-sized reproductions, allowing visitors to compare motifs of works belonging to various collections and follow the author's development. The works are presented chronologically, from the early years to the final paintings, and are accompanied by texts revealing the artist's journey. Curated by Kristjan Mändmaa, the exhibition is part of the project "Köler 200: Original, Copy, Interpretation". The museum section is open until November 1st, from Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM to 6 PM.
