“Mio, My Son” is a family production based on the book by Astrid Lindgren in the large hall of Ugala Theatre in Viljandi. The fairy-tale story takes the audience to the kingdom of the Land of Faraway, where the young hero must find courage, trust in friendship and face his fears. The production speaks about loneliness, hope and the importance of love, combining a world of fantasy with life questions a child can understand. Directed by Mait Joorits, it is recommended from the age of eight. Flashing lights are used in the performance, and it lasts two hours including an interval.
