Absurd comedy “Peatus” (The Stop) — premiere, Ugala Theatre

Marius von Mayenburg’s absurd comedy “Peatus” (The Stop) premieres on 30 January 2027 in the small hall of Ugala Theatre in Viljandi. Eva and Robert return home from holiday but notice that their familiar home has unexpectedly changed. Objects are in different places and the question arises whether it is still their home at all. Margaret Sarve’s production deals with people’s identity, habits and the need to understand one’s place in the world. The strange starting situation lets us look at everyday roles and relationships through absurd humour. The cast includes Klaudia Tiitsmaa, Merlin Kivi, Karel Käos and Rait Õunapuu. Tickets for the premiere are sold out.
