Indoors
“The Fifth Step” is a two-actor drama by the Ugala Theatre in the small hall of the theatre in Viljandi. In David Ireland’s play, Mart and Lukas, both on the road to giving up alcohol, meet, and the relationship between supporter and person in need of help grows ever more complicated. Their conversations weave together trust, past experience, jealousy and self-overcoming. Director Andres Noormets brings to the stage a story in which sharp humour alternates with tense and vulnerable moments. The cast is Riho Kütsar and Alden Kirss. This is the 20 November performance of a production that premiered on 7 November.
