Waiting for Godot — premiere

“Waiting for Godot” is a new production by Teater TEMUFI in Viljandi based on Samuel Beckett’s absurdist play. Director Üllar Saaremäe puts before the audience two characters who wait for the unknown Godot and try to give the waiting a meaning. Their conversations, silences and confrontations raise questions about hope, loneliness, the meaning of life and the human need to believe in something. Alo Kurvits, Silver Kaljula, Ivo Reinok and Mait Trink perform in the production. The premiere on 20 November offers a chance to see a classic of world drama in a new Viljandi theatre production. The performance lasts two and a half hours including an interval.
