Till the Stars Come Down — premiere
“Kuni taevas murdub” (“Till the Stars Come Down”) is Beth Steel’s bitterly funny drama premiering on 31 October at Vanemuine’s Small House in Tartu. It tells of an English working-class family, three sisters and those close to them: on the youngest sister’s wedding day, everything that has been kept hidden comes out — old hurts, unfulfilled hopes and love turned into harshness. The director is Johan Elm, the translation is by Pirjo Jonas, and the cast includes Piret Laurimaa, Maria Annus, Linda Porkanen, Robert Annus, Andres Mähar, Külliki Saldre, Aivar Tommingas, Jüri Lumiste and Mirjam Aavakivi.
